Learn the Fundamentals of Weightlifting


We provide an introduction to the primary barbell lifts for athletes of all ages and abilities. In addition to open lifting time, we have weekly coached hours to work 1-on-1 to learn and master lifting technique in the snatch, clean and jerk, squats and pulls.

Most Extensive Open Gym Hours in Boulder

Open Lifting Schedule:

Monday-Friday 6:00am-7:30pm

Saturday 8:30am-12:00pm

Sunday 10:00-11:30am

FREE drop-ins last Friday of every month—come lift with us for free!

$10 drop-ins all other days/times.


Weightlifting Coaching & Programming

In addition to open lifting hours, Lefthand Barbell Club provides weightlifting programming for all levels.

Weightlifting membership includes full facility access including platforms and Eleiko and Pendlay barbells, weightlifting programming, and weekly coached hours.

Competition Preparation


While weightlifting may be an individual sport, our team is very active in traveling to local and national meets whether competing or supporting another member. We will coach you through all aspects of competition to prepare for upcoming meets (or your first!).
